FBC news reported the women responded to a recruitment drive last month.
Navy Commander, Captain Humphrey Tawake, said they received applications from Labasa, Lau, and Yasawa and as far as Macuata in Vanualevu.
Mr Tawake said 150 women were shortlisted between the ages of 18 and 25.
The Navy said the recruitment is part of efforts to promote gender equality in the workforce.
