The road toll is on course to hit a record high. A string of crashes at the weekend took the number of deaths on the road to 330 - roughly the same number as this time last year. Last year's road toll was the country's worst since 2009. Both the Police Minister Stuart Nash and Police Association president Chris Cahill agree the situation is reaching a crisis point. RNZ political reporter Jo Moir asked Mr Cahill what he thinks is behind the skyrocketing statistics.
