The police were called to a Grace Street property shortly after 4pm yesterday where her body was discovered.
A scene examination is underway and there is a second property of interest on Tay Street.
Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Baird said police were treating her death as unexplained as they investigated.
Baird said further information would be released when available.
