No issues in NZ Kayak team ahead of World Champs

The High Performance Manager of Canoe Racing New Zealand, Wayne Maher says there is no animosity within the squad now that former World Champion and Olympic silver medalist Ben Fouhy has joined them ahead of this weekend's World Championships in Poland.

Fouhy was involved in a much-publicised split with the national coaching program earlier this year and now he and his coach Grant Restall work independently.

One of the national coaches Ian Ferguson said earlier this week that he still hadn't spoken with Fouhy.

Maher says they're all above any personal issues and they're using this championship to finalise their crews to push towards Olympic qualification next year.
