Hamilton police have arrested three men in relation to an arson which severely damaged a house in the city on the afternoon of Saturday 24 August.
Earlier on Thursday, police confirmed the fire on Knighton Road in the suburb of Hillcrest was arson and appealed for information.
The house is on a shared driveway and only metres from another dwelling which police said was also put at risk.
Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Neilson said police executed a search warrant at an address on Oakfield Crescent, approximately 11km from where the arson took place.
Neilson said the Armed Offenders Squad assisted police as a precaution and three men in their thirties have been charged with breaching court release conditions, dishonesty and methamphetamine-related offending.
