Ousted Fiji minister on assault charge in US

An ousted Fiji government minister, Adi Asenaca Caucau, is reported to have been charged with assault in the US.

Fijilive says she is due in court tomorrow.

The former minister for women and culture left Fiji after the 2006 military coup.

She is reported to have been using a diplomatic passport although immigration authorities say she should have surrendered it.
