The veteran Spanish golfer Miguel Angel Jimenez held his nerve in a three-way playoff to win the French Open title in Paris this morning.
Jimenez blew a two shot lead on the final hole of regulation play, letting his compatriot Alejandro Canizares and Italy's Francesco Molinari into a playoff which Jimeneza won with a birdie on the first extra hole.
Canizares' consolation was the last place in the field for the British Open.
New Zealand's Mark Brown tied for 51st after a closing round of 74, and Michael Campbell had a 77, finishing 79th.
