A woman was caught up in a mudslide that swept through the back yard of a house on Hospital Hill, Napier. Chris Brady, who lives in the area, said he couldn't get through a torrent of water coming down the hillside to reach the woman but his friend, who made it round the back of the property, eventually pulled her to safety.
