Around 1000 Palauans are estimated to have been affected by the Super Typhoon Yutu that devastated the Northern Marianas last month.
Palau Vice President Raynold Oilouch said the government received reports that most of the Palauan homes in the CNMI were damaged by the typhoon which packed sustained winds of 290 kilometres per hour.
Mr Oilouch said there was big destruction in the CNMI and the Palauan people there need immediate assistance.
The Island Times reported the government held a fundraising event on Palau last week for citizens based in the commonwealth.
Mr Oilouch said Palau was also looking at providing public workers and electricians to help rebuild damaged infrastructure in Saipan.
