Qantas is again defending the safety of one of its aircraft after a passenger saw flames coming from the engine of a plane on a domestic flight in Australia.
The Boeing 737 carrying more than 160 passengers was taxiing on the runway of Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne when the captain was forced to turn back on Sunday, the ABC reports.
A Qantas spokesperson says the engine was inspected and no faults were found.
The flight to Adelaide took off about an hour late.
The same plane was due to fly from Adelaide to Sydney on Monday but the flight was cancelled due to a technical problem with a valve.
A Qantas official said the two incidents were unrelated.
