Four people are injured after a serious two-vehicle crash in Ōmarama which has closed State Highway 83 at the intersection with Prohibition Road.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 12.35pm after the two vehicles, one towing a caravan, collided.
Initial indications suggested two people were in a moderate condition and two people were in a serious condition, police said.
Traffic management was being arranged however motorists were advised to expect delays and to postpone their travel if possible.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
