International observers of Fiji's elections say their main aim is to ensure Fiji's elections are free and fair.
Members of the Multinational Observer Group have signed their terms of reference with the Minister for Elections, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
The group is co-led by Australia, India and Indonesia.
Observers started arriving in the country at the weekend to observe the run up to voting.
Election day has been set for November 14 and there will be pre polling in remoter areas for a five day period in the week beforehand.
India's High Commissioner to Fiji Vishvas Sapkal told the Fiji Times the group's role would be an important one, ensuring a free and fair election is delivered.
He says the election observers from India will be arriving in the country soon.
Australia's High Commissioner John Feakes told the paper he expects observers will be deployed across the country.
He says Australia's pleased to be joining the world's largest democracy, India and the the third largest, Indonesia in observing Fiji's election.
