Captain praises spinners as Black Caps claim T20 series victory

17:39 pm on 29 December 2010

The stand-in New Zealand cricket captain Ross Taylor says the Black Caps spin stocks are looking healthy after two outstanding performances from Nathan McCullum and debutant Luke Woodcock in the Blackcaps series winning 39 run victory over Pakistan in the second Twenty20 clash in Hamilton last night.

Martin Guptill set the tone for New Zealand smashing 44 runs off just 28 balls on the way to helping the home side to a total of 185 for 7.

Man of the match McCullum then took four wickets to take the sting out of the Pakistan order with assistance from Woodcock and Taylor admits he may owe the debutant a beer or two after dropping what would have been Woodcock's first international wicket.

The Black Caps now take an unassailable 2-nil series lead into the third and final Twenty20 in Christchurch tomorrow night.
