Police are warning Christchurch residents to take caution after receiving several reports of a young man indecently assaulting women.
In a statement, police said they had received reports of a young male approaching women before exposing himself and in some cases indecently assaulting them.
They said the incidents were taking place in the Christchurch area known as the 'red zone' during the early hours of the morning between 6.30am-8am.
The latest reported incident took place on Wednesday 23 March on Banks Avenue in the Shirley and Dallington area.
Police described the man as 16-24-years-old, of a medium height and build with shoulder length wavy brown hair parted in the middle.
He was last seen wearing black trackpants, a black polar fleece top and a facemask.
Police urged anyone with information that could assist them to identify the man to contact Police on 105 and quote file number 220323/5192 and 220101/8979.
