Police have charged a man and seized an air rifle following an armed police call-out in Dunedin.
Officers were called to a property in Heriot Row at about 10.10am on Wednesday after reports of a possible gun being pointed at someone.
Armed police cordoned off the area and a nearby school went into lockdown as a precaution.
Police charged the 27-year-old man with breaching bail and say more charges are likely.
He is due to appear in court on Thursday.
No-one was hurt.
