The only five-star hotel on the island of Tinian in the Northern Marianas is shutting temporarily due to a lack of customers and flights.
The Saipan Tribune reported hundreds of employees at the Tinian Dynasty Hotel were expected to be without pay for the month and a half closure.
The hotel's general manager Christopher Bishop said there was no mention of compensation for hotel employees in a letter from the owners of the hotel, Hong Kong Entertainment.
Dynasty reached a settlement with 531 workers last month, to pay more than US$1.7 million dollars for five months of unpaid wages dating back last August.
The resort's casino complex has already been shut for months after it failed to meet requirements for the Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commision.
