Police are seeking witnesses after a teenager was assaulted at Hawke's Bay's Te Mata Peak Saturday afternoon.
A 16-year-old girl was walking alone when she was assaulted by a man about 1pm at the Te Mata Peak Park, Te Mata Peak Road in Havelock North, police said.
She was assisted by a group of people who were walking in the area at the time.
Police arrested a man, 41, in relation to the incident.
Police want to speak to members of the group who assisted the victim and left before police arrived.
