West Indies are in the driver's seat, entering the final session of the first test against the Black Caps at Christchurch's Hagley Oval.
Chasing a record 531 runs for victory, the tourists still have four wickets in hand, as they close on that target against a depleted NZ bowling attack that has lost pace-bowlers Matt Henry and Nathan Smith to injury.
Earlier in the day, the home side dismissed Shai Hope for 140, but Justin Greaves has since achieved his century, while putting on a century partnership with Kemar Roach.
With no reviews left up their sleeve, the Black Caps have also been unable to challenge several umpire's calls that may have swung the contest back their way.
