A $1000 arts grant from the Hundertwasser Park Charitable Trust is going begging.
The scholarship from the Kawakawa-based trust is offered to secondary students every year in memory of Austrian-born artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
The Austrian-born artist, who lived nearby, built the town's famous toilets, and the grant is funded from donations made by tourists who visit the building.
So far this year the trust's had not a single application.
Trustee Kelly Stratford said students from all high schools in the Bay of Islands and Whangaroa area who want to pursue their artistic studies at a higher level were eligible to apply.
