Media freedom has come under the spotlight in Tonga ever since the prime minister threatened the public broadcaster over his dissatisfaction of their reporting.
'Akilisi Pohiva's government has since fired the board chair and the general manager of the Tonga Broadcasting Commission, the latter of which is now before the courts.
