A person has died after a boat capsized in Lower Hutt this afternoon.

A person has died after a boat capsised in Lower Hutt this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Days Bay on the east side of the Wellington Harbour just after 4pm.
Police said the person could not be revived and died soon after.
Wellington Free Ambulance staff treated one other person with minor injuries at the scene.
A rescue helicopter also attended.
The death will be referred to the coroner.
