A person has been taken to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries after a paraglider crash.
St John said it was called to Port Hills Road in Heathcote Valley shortly after 10am on Monday.
One ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended.
The injured person was found in a serious condition.
