Police have arrested two men over the murder of 48-year-old Whakatāne man Mark Hohua last week.
Hohua succumbed to his injuries on 19 June after he was seriously assaulted and airlifted to Waikato Hospital the day before.
Today, police arrested a 25-year-old man from Waimana and a 32-year-old man from Taneatua in relation to the homocide investigation into Hohua's death.
The two men are due to appear in Whakatāne District Court via audio-visual link tomorrow.
