New Zealand Transport Agency is reminding motorists that State Highway One will be closed to all traffic on Sunday night over Northland's Brynderwyn Hill.
The road is the main arterial route between Auckland and Whangarei.
It'll be closed from 7pm on Sunday evening till 6am on Monday morning, while contractors carry out resealing and maintenance work.
Traffic heading south will be diverted through Waipu and Mangawhai, and northbound traffic will have to take the long detour through Paparoa and Oakleigh.
