20:47 pm on 29 November 2008

A skeleton fire crew will remain at the site of a large scrub fire near Port Chalmers in Dunedin to dampen down hotspots.

The fire started just before 3pm and burnt about two hectares of undergrowth and pine trees on Blueskin Road.

A Fire Service spokesperson says the fire was mostly out on Saturday evening but firefighters will watch it closely overnight.
