One man is injured and another is being hunted by police in Motueka this afternoon following a firearms incident.

Police said it happened just after 1pm and officers responding to it were all armed.
The injured man was being treated in hospital.
Police said they were continuing to search for a second man who was seen near Fry Street.
They said the two men may be known to each other.
