A stop has been put on any more visas being issued to foreign students to study at the Linguis International Institute in Auckland and Christchurch.
The New Zealand Qualifications Authority is investigating the private school's English and business courses to see if it's breaking the rules.
The authority said students who held a current visa for Linguis would be able to complete their studies.
Last month another private trainer, the International College of New Zealand in Auckland, was ordered to stop enrolling students while being investigated.
