A second section of the Waikato Expressway - one of the Government's major roading projects - has been opened.
The Ngaruawahia section has cost $200 million and makes up 12.3 kilometres of the 102 kilometre expressway, from the top of the Bombay Hills to south of Cambridge.
The whole road is expected to cost $2.1 billion and be finished in 2019.
The Te Rapa section was completed in 2012 with the Cambridge and Rangiriri sections under construction.
