The man charged with the 1995 murder of 21-year-old Angela Blackmoore has been denied bail.
Blackmoore was 10 weeks pregnant when she was stabbed 39 times in her home in the east Christchurch suburb of Wainoni.
A man and a woman in their 40s were charged with murder in October.
The man has since pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.
Yesterday police arrested a third person and charged him with murder.
In the Queenstown District Court this afternoon he was granted interim name suppression and remanded in custody till Friday.
