Interviews and live sets from the New Zealand music underground. This week, we check out Wellington outfit Terror of the Deep.
Terror of the Deep’s current line-up coalesced in the "frigid void" of Newtown in 2010. They’ve kept busy churning out melancholy guitar-pop over the course of three albums, and have just released their fourth album, Space Epic.
Taking the Voyager missions as a launching pad, Terror of the Deep's latest offering charts a course through our solar system and beyond, with the album’s nine tracks offering a reflective viewpoint on the fear, exhilaration and boredom of hurtling into the unknown.
