Government gives $36 million to upgrade recycling plants

The Government has announced plans to upgrade seven recycling plants around the country.

Environment Minister, Eugenie Sage, says $36.7 million will be spent upgrading the plants, including replacing manual sorting with high-tech optical sorters.

Sarah Pritchett, the sustainability advisor at the waste and recycling advisory and advocacy organisation WasteMINZ, spoke to Māni Dunlop.
