Three Taranaki police officers have pleaded not guilty to manslaughter while appearing at the High Court in New Plymouth this morning.
The charges relate to the death of a 55-year-old man at the Hāwera police station in the early hours of June the first last year.
The Coroner has ordered that his name not be released.
The officers are alleged not to have sought medical care for the Hāwera man, who had been arrested following a family harm callout.
The trio have been granted interim name suppression, remanded and ordered to reappear on 17 July.
