Another Covid-19 case has been discovered in the Northern Marianas after Covid-19 testing of arriving passengers at Saipan airport.
It is the first case this week after four in the CNMI last week.
The country now has a total of 38 confirmed cases and two deaths.
The CNMI's Covid-19 Taskforce said the new case was now safely isolated at the Kanoa Resort alternate care site and was being closely monitored.
The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation initiated contact tracing of passengers on the same flight, as well as family and friends of the new case.
It comes as the former Mariana Resort and Spa has been designated a quarantine site from Thursday
