A ferry worker is in hospital in a serious condition after being hit by a vehicle on a Bluebridge ferry, docked in Wellington.
A Fire and Emergency spokesperson said a person had been struck by a vehicle, and had been treated with First Aid.
Wellington Free Ambulance were at the scene and said they took the injured person to Wellington hospital.
A spokesperson for Maritime New Zealand said the staff member was injured on the main vehicle deck of the Straitsman just after 7am.
An investigation has been completed, and Maritime New Zealand has released the ship from where it was held in dock.
