A man was left with injuries to head, chest and abdomen after a robbery in Lower Hutt, and police have released images from the store hoping to track down people they want to speak with as part of the investigation.
Police said at about 9pm on Sunday 16 July, two males went into a dairy on Waiwhetu Road where they assaulted an employee before stealing cigarettes and cash.
"The victim of this attack sustained injuries to his head, chest and abdomen area and is understandably shaken," police said in a statement.
Photos from security cameras at the store were being released to help police identify and contact the people in the photos, who "may be able to assist us with our enquiries," they said.
"Police are committed to holding those involved responsible for their actions and are keen to hear from anyone with who witnessed the incident or recognises the people pictured," they said.
