A car crashed into a house on the main road in Taupo at about 3.30am on Friday.
No-one was injured in the vehicle or the house.
Police say alcohol and speed contributed to the crash.
It happened on the corner of State Highway One and Richmond Avenue and has caused extensive damage to the car and the house.
