New Zealand Cricket has confirmed that Chaminda Vaas will work with the Black Caps as a specialist bowling coach during the upcoming test series in Sri Lanka.
Vaas, a former Sri Lankan fast bowler who took 355 test wickets, retired from international cricket in 2011.
The Black Caps coach Mike Hesson says Vaas's experience in the local conditions will be beneficial, in particular for their contingent of left-arm seamers.
The full New Zealand squad assembles in Galle on the 13th of November.
