A man died in Wellington on Sunday evening after reportedly having flu-like symptoms.
A police spokesperson said the man, who was in his 40s, had been staying at a Newtown address and was discovered by police at about 8.35pm.
His death has been referred to the coroner.
The cause of death has not been determined, but it is not being treated as suspicious.
At a press conference this afternoon, Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield the death was not related to Covid-19.
