Hawke's Bay Police have arrested a second person in relation to the death of a man in Flaxmere earlier this month.

Police were called to a Ramsay Crescent address in Flaxmere on 13 October and found two people injured. One person died at the scene, later identified as Darcy Strickland, 29.

A 22-year-old man was arrested several days later in connection with the death.

Officers located the second person, a 19-year-old man, at a Flaxmere property and have subsequently completed a search of that property.

The man is due to appear in Hastings District Court tomorrow on one charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one charge of injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Further charges are likely.

The 22-year-old man appeared in court earlier this week, also in relation to Strickland's death.
