Aaradhna: Not Just a Brown Girl

14:00 pm on 16 July 2016

On her P-Money-produced 2012 album Treble & Reverb, Porirua-born rhythm & blues artist Aaradhna delved into her love of ’60s-inspired soul music, a love first sparked by Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black.

For her new album Brown Girl, Aaradhna has collaborated with Truth and Soul, the Brooklyn-based label and production team responsible for records from Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Lee Fields and The Expressions.

She sits down with Sam Wicks to talk through the experiences that shaped her soul-searching new set.
