Twenty seven candidates will run for the Palau Senate and four for the presidency when the country goes to the polls on 3 November.
Nominations closed last week leaving the 27 to vie for the 13 seat Senate with at least 11 incumbents trying to hold on their post against 16 newcomers that include outgoing President Tommy Remengesau's son.
For the presidential seat, it's a four-way race with businessmen Surangel Whipps Junior and Alan Sied facing off against, Vice President Raynold Oilouch, former President Johnson Toribiong.
Mr Whipps is President Remengesau's brother-in-law, who ran in 2016 but lost.
Mr Remengesau is ending his two terms this year being no longer eligible for re-election.
Running for Vice-President is sitting senators Frank Kyota and Uduch Sengebau Senior.
