You may have heard the saying - "It's practically impossible to look at a penguin and get angry".
Well, that was put to the test at the Dunedin Wildlife Hospital when two hoiho chicks escaped their cage and had the run of their ward.
When staff arrived, the ground was liberally covered in guano - or penguin excrement. Among those on cleanup duty was the hospital's wildlife care assistant Amelia Saxby.
She spoke to Guyon Espiner.
