An elderly couple who were killed in a collision with a logging truck in Hawke's Bay this week have been named as former All Black Ian Uttley and his wife, Christine.
Police said the couple, who were in their 70s, died at the scene of the crash, which happened north of Te Pohue on State Highway 5.
Mr Uttley played with the All Blacks twice in 1963 against England.
