Fiji's human rights situation is under scrutiny again this week with a visit by the UN Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights.

Kate Gilmore began an official visit to Fiji today and was expected to hold talks with a wide range of groups, officials, and UN agencies.
She will also meet with human rights defenders, environmentalists and members of vulnerable groups as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps.
