About 40,000 people experiencing homelessness in Auckland

About 41,000 people will be bedding down tonight without adequate access to housing - basically the population of Gisborne. And more than a quarter of people are struggling to make ends meet at the end of the month, as inflation cracks 7 percent.

That's according to new research for Orange Sky, which provides mobile laundry & shower services and support to people experiencing homelessness. Its Aotearoa operation's manager Eddie Uini talks to Lisa Owen.
