A new deal for our police to share data with law enforcement agencies in Europe is being questioned after it was revealed the European Union's data protection watchdog is sueing police agencies for the mass processing of the personal data of people with no links to criminal activity. New Zealand police knew about the controversy when they did a deal with Europol in June to expand data sharing Phil Pennington is looking into this.
