A new retailer in Glen Innes says he no longer feels safe mere months after opening a business in the Auckland suburb.
It follows several smash and grabs and ram raids in the area, with some worried retailers deciding to reinforce shop frontages to keep offenders out.
Meanwhile, a local family centre says staff are working overtime to try to keep kids on the straight and narrow.
