A man has been arrested after allegedly stealing staff belongings and making threats of having a firearm at an Auckland fast food restaurant.
Police were called to the restaurant on Hall Street just before 5am on Saturday.
Detective Inspector Karen Bright said the 51-year-old man fled the scene on foot.
"The staff working at the time were subjected to verbal threats and had personal belongings stolen," she said.
"Investigation staff been following a number of lines of enquiry since the robbery occurred."
Police are yet to establish if the man had a firearm.
He was arrested on Monday and charged with robbery and is due to appear in the Pukekohe District Court on Tuesday.
