Police say officers have now been stood down from a call out to Tawa College, after the school went into lockdown this morning.
The college went into lockdown for a second time, just days after an attack sent the school into lockdown earlier this week.
In a message on its website posted at 9.22am, it said it would update the community as soon as it could.
Police said they were responding to a report of a possible firearms incident at 9.20am.
They were stood down just after 10am.
The school went into lockdown on Tuesday after an attack involving a student.
