The Ministry of Transport has found no evidence of flaws in the design or safety of Mitsubishi Fuso buses after three fatal crashes.
The crashes occurred in the space of just two weeks in July and August this year.
The Transport Agency said the design of the Mitsubishi Fuso wasn't deficient and Transport Minister Phil Twyford said he hoped that reassured bus users.
Police said there was no evidence of a mechanical failure in the first crash in Mount Ruapehu and that no criminal charges will be laid.
The agency is still investigating crashes in Taranaki and Manawatu.
It said there was no link between the three crashes and heavy vehicle specialist certifiers or other certification agents being investigated by the Agency.
